Julie was raised in a large extended family in rural upstate New York, where she later volunteered as an AmeriCorps VISTA, and has found her small town values reflected here in the Midwest. She lives in the Chicago suburbs with her family, where she serves on the village's Planning Commission and supports various local organizations. Julie is covertly competitive and enjoys watching most sports, so she is fortunate to have children who keep her busy and entertained at the softball/baseball fields, lacrosse games, dive meets and hockey rink.
